Oregon John Deere Museum Foundation
and
Oregon Two-Cylinder Club

The Oregon Two-Cylinder Club was organized in 1987, after thirty-five John Deere collectors were contacted to display at the Great Oregon Steam-Up at Western Antique PowerLand west of Brooks, Oregon this display help celebrate John Deere's 150th year and gave a great opportunity to talk tractor collecting, farming and other common interest. With the continued interest in restoring preserving antique tractors and equipment, the Oregon Two-Cylinder Club has continued to display every year at Antique PowerLand and other shows. Over the years the club has grown, to over 200 members with the interest of preserving John Deere tractors and equipment and in teaching others the role that John Deere played in revolutionizing agriculture in this area and around the world.

With this in mind the Oregon Two-Cylinder Club formed the Oregon John Deere Museum Foundation, a tax-exempt organization, for the purpose of raising fund to build and operate a John Deere Museum at Antique PowerLand. The museum will house tractors, equipment, memorabilia, collectables, tools, toys, and pictures. It will have a meeting room and a library so that we can teach the public about history of the John Deere tractors and equipment. The club has been given a collection of some of these items to get the museum started. The Museum Foundation has been holding an annual auction sale and other fund raising activities to build a museum building. We have started the building project with the ground breaking in September of 2009. We are looking for your tax deductible donation so we can continue to educate the public. To further educational opportunities, The Museum Foundation gives two $500 college scholarships each year to graduation seniors who enroll in agriculture or related fields of study.

The Oregon Two-Cylinder Club meets bi-monthly the home of a member or other places of interest. We send out a bi-monthly newsletters to all members. The newsletter contains reports from club officers and the board of directors, committees, member stories, tech tips, for sale and want ads, and the time and locations of the next meeting. We also hold an annual auction to help raise funds for the museum. Contact any officer or board member for more information about the club and how to join.
